XIII. Discovery and Mystery, Health and Happiness

Like light and shadow, day and night, discovery and mystery, we combine truths and myths to create models of the existence of one totality. If I build a strong foundation of truth and knowledge based on the existence of discovery and ornament this foundation with a pessimistic framework of myth and fantasy based on the existence of mystery, then I may be exposed to powerful emotional responses of sorrow, fear and anger in the fall of disease and winter of death. To protect myself, I balance powerful emotional responses of sorrow, fear and anger that follow from the discovery of the truth about the impending disease and death of my fractal infernal temporal seed body with powerful emotional responses of joy, faith and love that follow from the mystery of a most optimistic myth about the existence of one totality.

It is my purpose to use my model of the existence of one totality to best satisfy my need and aspiration to achieve and maintain health and happiness. A common denominator in all cases is change. From my earliest days, I have been constantly remodeling my thoughts, beliefs, and expectations about the existence of one totality. My model of the existence of one totality is a evolving, growing and changing structure. I understand the principle of change and apply this principle to the task of converging upon a model of the existence of one totality that best produces happiness and health.  A conflict between truth and myth if and when noticed would make my myths into lies and render my model of the existence of one totality unsatisfactory. I reject all lies if and when detected.  I converge upon a model of the existence of one totality that includes ideas that are both possible and imaginable.

I do not claim to eliminate discovery or mystery from the  existence of one totality. I do not claim to eliminate discovery of disease and death from mystery of immunity and life. Nor do I claim to eliminate suffering, sorrow and abomination from the conflict of predator and prey that divides the body-consuming biosphere and characterizes the drama of life and death, game of survival and sacrifice and test of success and failure experienced by life forms. I do claim to provide education, entertainment and leadership that has the potential to produce the most powerful emotional responses of joy, faith and love imaginable and the most powerful physiological responses of health possible. Through art, poetry, song, prose, and other available artistic means I do claim to inspire others to persevere, overcome defeat, and progress toward victory.
